Help get your kitty ready for their visit​

We want your at-home visit to be as calm and positive as possible—for both of you! Every cat is unique, and knowing a little about their past experiences helps us prepare the right approach. 

Whether your cat is a fearless explorer or gets nervous at the vet, sharing their history lets us create a tailored plan to keep them comfortable (and maybe even sneak in some happy purrs).

 

Consider past experience

Please let us know well in advance if your cat has had a hard time at the vet in the past. Were they unable to get blood last year? Were her pupils the size of saucers? Was he hissing? This way our team can reach out to you to develop a tailored plan to take care of that fear and worry before we arrive as much as we are able. Learn more about signs of anxiety in cats.

Have all hands on deck

We love owners to be present, engaged and ready to give treats to help make your cat have the best possible experience at their home vet visit.

Provide a safe heaven

At least 15 min prior to the arrival window please calmly and safely place your cat in a smaller room without items that they can climb under to ease any stress and prevent hiding under the bed or couch which may mean a rescheduled visit. Have a towel and water in the room with them.

Prepare preferred snacks

We will bring treats but if your cat has food allergies or really loves treats that you have please have those ready for us!

Being efficient is key

Please send us all previous vet records and information prior to your visit so that kitty isn’t sitting and worrying while we find papers!

With this info, we can customize their care—keeping them comfortable and stress-free. A little heads-up helps us deliver the gentlest experience!
