The Canine DAPV Vaccine is a core vaccine initiated in dogs as young as seven weeks old. Due to the prevalence of diseases this vaccination protects against, the vaccine is recommended for all dogs, regardless of lifestyle. This vaccine is initially given in a series to puppies. In dogs over 16 weeks of age without vaccine history, at least two doses should be administered 3-4 weeks apart. The vaccination offers protection from distemper, hepatitis (from 2 different types of adenoviruses), and parvovirus and is protective for three years.
