What is FVRCP Vaccine + Chlamydia for cats
Chlamydia felis is available in combination with the FVRCP to patients with a high risk of exposure to the bacterial pathogen. Although this can be combined with the FVRCP, chlamydia itself is not considered a core vaccination. Cats that would be considered at-risk live in catteries, cat colonies, or share a home with a cat that has chlamydia. The vaccine is given in a 2-part series beginning at 8-9 weeks of age, and then annually to at-risk cats. Ask your veterinarian whether your cat or kitten is a good candidate to receive this combination vaccination.

Why is this vaccine important?

Chlamydia felis is spread through direct contact with infected cats. Cats with chlamydia will develop conjunctivitis and upper respiratory signs.
