Chlamydia felis is available in combination with the FVRCP to patients with a high risk of exposure to the bacterial pathogen. Although this can be combined with the FVRCP, chlamydia itself is not considered a core vaccination. Cats that would be considered at-risk live in catteries, cat colonies, or share a home with a cat that has chlamydia. The vaccine is given in a 2-part series beginning at 8-9 weeks of age, and then annually to at-risk cats. Ask your veterinarian whether your cat or kitten is a good candidate to receive this combination vaccination.
