Using a leash, you can explore the entire park and its many trails, but if you’re looking to let Fido loose there is the 5-acre Amelia Earhart Bark Park. At the unleashed Bark Park, your dog can get a taste of nature running through the grass and fun tunnel systems designed for them. The Bark Park is divided into a small dog and a big dog section, so you can feel safe no matter what size your dog is. You and your pup will be excited to find the trail is filled with wildlife, with the chance to spot deer, rabbits, and even wild hogs. The highlight of this park is the river rapids, where you can watch the Alafia River rumble over limestone boulders. You will need to bring a leash with you for this hike, as there is no dedicated dog park here.
